| The Service Hydrographique of ICES was accredited as the RNODC - Formats by the IODE in 1983. An important function of the RNODC was to distribute information concerning data formats and supporting codes on behalf of IODE. Advances in communication technology and the development of the IODE web site, the Ocean Portal and Ocean Teacher have largely negated the need for this RNODC. |
