Зайцев, Ю. П..

Resultats preliminaires ArchiMer
Vanwormhoudt, A.
In crustacean, immunoreactive peptides were detected with salmon-calcitonin antibodies by immunocytochemistry in its eyestalks and by radioimmunoassay in the haemolymph and the digestive tract. Two different molecules were purified: the first with their molecular weight comprised between 3-5 kDa, the second having a molecular weight of 22 kDa which could correspond to a precursor of the first one. Their characterization is on progress.

Donnees cytologiques, electrophysiologiques et biochimiques relatives au phenomene de fecondation chez le homard (Homarus gammarus ). Implication du processus d'activation sur le mecanisme d'attache des oeufs pondus ArchiMer
Goudeau, M; Lachaise, F; Kubisz, P; Goudeau, H.
Electrophysiological measurements and related cytological controls were done on immature and submature oocytes of Homarus gammarus . By chromatography (HPLC) and radio-immunoassays (RIA) it was established that submature oocytes displayed different ecdysteroids. Furthermore, the structure of the stalk (funiculus) for the laid eggs attachment was analyzed. it consisted of the two superimposed vitelline envelopes which were likely modified by the cortical reaction exudate during the fertilization process. In addition, the successive secretory phases, regarding to the embryonic envelopes were evidenced. Finally, the ecdysteroid titers of embryonic stages were measured.

Valeur énergétique de la chair de l'huître Crassostrea gigas estimée par mesures microcalorimétriques et par dosages biochimiques ArchiMer
Heral, Maurice; Deslous Paoli, Jean-marc.
The energetic values measured by the direct method and estimated by biochemical analysis of the annual cycle of ash-free dry weight of two Crassostrea gigas populations, show that the analytic results are inferior by 30% to those obtained by direct evaluation. The mean energetic amount is 4.84 cal.mg-1. Its seasonal variations, from 4.11 to 5.39 cal.mg-l, mainly depend on variations in the values of lipids. The mean conversion factor of lipids is 8.63 cal.mg-!, noticeably different from Brody's (9.45 caI.mg-I). This coefficient varies according to seasons from 7.85 to 9.38 cal.mg'-I. According to the biochemical evaluations, female oysters appear to he more energetic than male oysters when gonads are full. Direct evaluations, on the other hand, show no...

Evolution des acides nucleiques au cours du developpement larvaire de la crevette rose Palaemon serratus (Pennant). ArchiMer
Campillo, Albert; Regnault, M.; Luquet, P..
The evolution of nucleic acids in larvae of P. serratus reared in the laboratory from hatching to metamorphosis has been studied. From the 1st larval stage to the post-larval stage, DNA and RNA concn decrease: from 185 to 95 uMoles-bases/g PSD for DNA and from 133.5 to 78.75 uMoles-bases for RNA. The concn decrease is not regular; it is emphasized between stages 4 and 5 on the one hand, and between stage 7 and the post-larva on the other hand. The amount of DNA and RNA per larva increases proportionally to the wet weight from stage 1 to the post-larva. As the weight is multiplied by 7.6, total DNA and total RNA are multiplied by 3.80 and 4.25 respectively. The RNA/DNA ratio has a mean value of 0.77; it increases slightly from stage 1 (0.72) to the...

A piezotolerant, mesophilic, marine lactic acid bacterium (strain LT20(T)) was isolated from a deep sub-seafloor sediment core collected at Nankai Trough, off the coast of Japan. Cells were Gram-positive, rod-shaped, non-sporulating and non-motile. The NaGl concentration range for growth was 0-120 gl(-1), with the optimum at 10-20 g l(-1). The temperature range for growth at PH 7.0 was 4-50 degreesC, with the optimum at 37-40 degreesC. The optimum pH for growth was 7.0-8.0. The optimum pressure for growth was 0.1 MPa with tolerance up to 30 MPa. The main cellular phospholipids were phosphatidylglycerols (25 %), diphosphatidylglycerols (34 %) and a group of compounds tentatively identified as ammonium-containing phosphatidylserines (32 %);...

Particle flux in the Rainbow hydrothermal vent field (Mid-Atlantic Ridge): Dynamics, mineral and biological composition ArchiMer
Khripounoff, Alexis; Vangriesheim, Annick; Crassous, Philippe; Segonzac, Michel; Colaco, Ana; Desbruyeres, Daniel; Barthelemy, Roxane.
In order to provide information about the export and the distribution of hydrothermal particulate material to the surrounding deep ocean, four moorings were deployed in the vicinity of the hydrothermal Rainbow vent field (Mid-Atlantic Ridge, 36 degrees 14'N, 2250 m depth). The first mooring was a sediment trap with a current meter deployed at 2 m from a chimney of the Rainbow vent field and 1.5 m above the bottom (a.b.) for 16 days. It represented the reference for the initial composition of particles produced by the vent. The total mean mass particle flux (6.9 g m(-2) d(-1)) was distinctly higher than the flux measured at the shallower hydrothermal vents on the MAR segment. This particulate flux showed a high temporal variation at the scale of a few days...

Nutrition of the seabass Lates calcarifer ArchiMer
Cuzon, Gerard; Chou, R; Fuchs, Jacques.
The Primary Production Department of Singapore (PPD) studies covered the weaning of seabass from fingerlings stage onwards and the dietary protein requirement of early grow-out fish. Dietary protein requirement of early grow-out seabass was demonstrated to be between 40-50%, at dietary lipid level of 12%, using fishmeal protein. Nevertheless fish growth was significantly higher with trashfish feed, but apparent protein retention was significantly better with formulated feed.

Effects of microalgal diet on growth, survival, biochemical and fatty acid composition of Ruditapes decussatus larvae ArchiMer
Andres Aranda-burgos, Jose; Da Costa Gonzalez, Fiz; Novoa, Susana; Ojea, Justa; Martinez-patino, Dorotea.
Successful bivalve larval growth and survival depend on stored reserves provided by diet. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of microalgal diet on growth, survival, together with biochemical and fatty acid composition during larval development in grooved carpet shell (Ruditapes decussatus). Four mono- and multi-species diets were tested: (1) Isochrysis galbana, Pavlova lutheri and Chaetoceros muelleri (1:1:1, IPC); (2) I. galbana, P. lutheri and C. muelleri (1:1:2, IP2C); (3) I. galbana and P. lutheri (1:1, IP); (4) C. muelleri (C). Our results showed that feeding regime greatly influenced larval growth and survival, as well as biochemical and fatty acid composition. Higher growth and survival rates were observed in the IPC, IP2C and C...

Physiological and Biochemical Variations during the Molt Cycle in Juvenile Litopenaeus vannamei under Laboratory Conditions ArchiMer
Galindo, Carmen; Gaxiola, Gabriela; Cuzon, Gerard; Chiappa-carrara, Xavier.
Biochemical changes, specifically in hemocyanin and glucose concentrations in hemolymph, glycogen in the digestive gland. were studied throughout the molt cycle in juveniles of Litopenaeus vannamei in a high salinity condition (36), and related to variations in the osmotic capacity of organisms. Increasing hemolymph volume before molting modifies circulating glucose and hemocyanin concentrations acting on the osmotic capacity. Variations in glucose concentrations are indicators of differential energy requirements throughout the molt cycle. Hemocyanin was used as an indirect indicator of the energy consumed by shrimp in various molt processes that affect the osmotic capacity. The co-variability of these metabolites is the result of the biochemical...

Two different biomasses (100 g multiplied by m super(-2) and 1 kg multiplied by m super(-2)) of oysters were put in identical sea-water ponds, thus leading to different trophic conditions, corresponding to rearing techniques. Changes in growth, biochemical composition and sexual maturation were recorded for two age groups. The first one included 9 month-old oysters and the second one 21 month-old oysters, at the beginning of the experiment. For both age groups, significant differences were observed in growth and biochemical composition. Lipids were accumulated faster for the lower biomass. However, the only difference concerning glycogen was observed on the older oysters. They showed a peak at the lowest biomass and a decrease at the larger biomass. Sexual...
