1. The successful species of copepods in a brackish water habitat show a separation in time with regard to the date of maximum occurrence and the date of maximum reproductive activity. The succession of the five species examinated is: <i>Mesochra lilljeborgi, Paronychocamptus nanus, Tachidius discipes, Halicyclops magniceps</i> and <i>Canuella perplexa</i>.2. These species and others show moreover a separation in space: <i>C. perplexa</i> is an endopsammic, <i>P. nanus</i> a mesopsammic and <i>T. discipes</i> an epipsammic species.
