Última Количественное распределение пелагических остракод (Halocyprididae) в западной части пролива Брансфилда, Антарктика IBSS Repository Драпун, И. Е.. Анализируется количественное распределение пелагических остракод (сем. Halocyprididae) в западной части пролива Брансфилда на основе зоопланктонных материалов 7-ой Украинской антарктической экспедиции, собранных в марте 2002 г. Максимальная глубина лова варьировала от 200 до 1000 м. Обнаружены восемь видов галоциприд. Три из них доминировали во всем обловленном слое: Metaconchoecia isoheira (44 и 31 % в слоях 0 – 500 и глубже 500 м, соответственно), Alacia belgicae (28 и 23 %) и A. hettacra (24 и 21 %); четвертый – Boroecia antipoda (21 %) – глубже 500 м. Остальные виды (Metaconchoecia skogsbergi, Proceroecia brachiaskos, Discoconchoecia aff. elegans и Conchoecissa symmetrica) встретились в небольшом количестве в нижних слоях облова (200 – 500, 500 – 1000... Results of the study of pelagic ostracods (Halocyprididae) from the western Bransfield Strait are discussed. The data were obtained using zooplankton samples collected in March 2002 during the 7th Ukrainian Antarctic expedition. Maximum sampling depths varied from 200 to 1000 m. Eight halocyprid species were found. Three species were dominant throughout the entire sampling depth: Metaconchoecia isocheira (in the layers 0 – 500 and >500 m it contributed 44 and 31 % respectively to the halocyprid population), Alacia belgicae (28 and 23 %), and Alacia hettacra (24 and 21 %). Ano: 2006 URL: http://repository.ibss.org.ua/dspace/handle/99011/273 Residual amino-acid fluxes in the upper water column of the bransfield strait ArchiMer Liebezeit, G. Fluxes of residual amino acids were determined on samples from two drifting sediment traps deployed at 100 rn water depth in the Bransfield Strait in December 1980. Differences in the absolute fluxes were related to the sources of sedimenting particulate matter. The relative contributions of amino acids to the total flux and the molar composition were similar for both traps. Comparison with published particulate amino acid fluxes indicates that a distinction must be made between high and low production environments. In the former case, 90% of the primary amino acid production is degraded within the upper 100 metres of the water column, whereas in the latter case this zone is extended to approximately 1,000 m. ABSTRACT This research is part of the results of the three first expeditions of Colombia to West Antarctica and it focused on the systematics and taxonomic diversity of the benthic community of molluscs collected between 5 and 400 m deep. The Sampling sites where mollusks were collected were located along the Gerlache and Bransfield straits, around the Palmer Archipelago and the South Shetland Islands, adjacent to the Antarctic Peninsula. The list of identified species that are deposited in the Museum of Marine Natural History of Colombia - Makuriwa, of the Institute of Marine and Coastal Research “José Benito Vives de Andréis” -Invemar, is presented.
