Despite of the high frequency of intoxications in the small animal practice, amphibian accidents are considered medical emergencies due to the high toxic potential of their venom, which tends to direct the clinical course of the intoxicated patient for cardiovascular and neurological pathophysiological events. The present study aims to describe the clinical and laboratory alterations observed in a dog poisoned by frog venom identified as Rhinella icterica (Anura: Bufonidae), through the diagnostic confirmation made by the identification of the amphibian on the images obtained by the tutors.
