| Le présent document est le rapport final du projet "Bio-Indication à la Réunion ; contribution à la définition d’indicateurs adaptés aux platiers récifaux de la Réunion". Ce projet comprend deux volets : Volet 1 : définition d’indicateurs d’enrichissement en nutriments (dystrophie) adaptés aux platiers récifaux réunionnais. | At first, the chronology of remote sensing flights organized by CNEXO, IFP and IGN is summarized. Secondly, examples of the most commonly observed phenomena along the coastline are presented. An interpretation of the various data collected is given for the area of Roscoff, taken as a model. This interpretation is extended to draw a serie of maps of sea and coastline pollution for several days between March 18 to May 26, 1978. The maps for the 18th and 21st of March are enclosed. |

| In the marine environment, positive law generates multiple zones and regulatory limits that overlap in space, justifying a cartographic representation as a relevant approach to promote understanding (synthetic vision), analysis (highlighting legal anomalies, inconsistencies and redundancies), dissemination and communication to different audiences (awareness-raising). | This study presents the first results of an ongoing research program that aims to derive thematic maps of the intertidal lagoon of Arcachon (SW Atlantic coast of France) from space imagery. At this stage, we present the results of the tests performed on Formosat-2 imagery. Several classification strategies have been tried with the aim to discriminate the sedimentary facies and the main species of the lagoon. The classes calculated by an optimized unsupervised clustering method, based on simulated annealing global minimization technique, were used to train a supervised classification algorithm. | In the framework of a comprehensive study of the coastal marine ecosystems of Guadeloupe Island (French West Indies), a remote sensing survey of marine communities was conducted in the Bay of the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin. Pictures of SPOT satellite were used. At first sight, XS data from SPOT did not seem to be well adapted to extract information from deepest underwater areas. In the present study, a method for analysis of XS data was developed, which increases tenuous spectral differences associated to very low intensity signals. | Coastal Mediterranean lagoons are often defined as homogeneous ecosystems that home many migratory and sedentary species. They also host strong salinity gradients, depth variation and very diverse plant communities, which create small-scale heterogeneity within lagoons. Ce programme répond à une demande régionale pour la valorisation des fossés à poissons. Cet écosystème fait partie du patrimoine régional et marque surtout son identité culturelle, une volonté locale a été manifestée pour sa conservation et valorisation. | Following a preliminary mapping survey using a combination of acoustic techniques, spatial patterns of sedimentologic and biological characteristics of the Bay of Douarnenez were studied in 2001 from a series of grab samples and underwater video recording aiming at calibrate the acoustic facies of the bottom and at characterized them from a biological point of view. | The study undertaken during the 1994-1998 planning contract on the Breton fishing fleet made it possible to underscore the size of the economic activity in regional territorial waters: More than 85% of the ships work there. This space, which is a matter of national sovereignty, is mainly managed at the regional level.
