An Annotated Checklist of the Vascular Flora of Guinea-Bissau (West Africa) Naturalis
Catarino, L.; Martins, E.S.; Pinto Basto, M.F.; Diniz, M.A..
A Checklist of Guinea-Bissau’s vascular flora is presented, based on the inventory of herbarium material and on recent collections. In addition to the name, we cite for each taxon the basionym and synonyms, the life form and habitat, as well as the chorology, Raunkiaer’s biological type, phenology and vernacular names if known. 1507 specific and infra-specific taxa were recorded, of which 1459 are autochthonous, belonging to 696 genera. This shows a higher diversity than the 1000 species estimated so far. In the autochthonous flora there are 22 species of Pteridophyta from 14 families; 1041 taxa of Dicotyledons from 107 families, and 396 taxa of Monocotyledons belonging to 33 families. Three taxa are probably endemic to the country.

Agaricus (Annularia) fenzlii redécouvert dans les Pyrénées notes sur le genre Chamaeota en Europe Naturalis
Corriol, Gilles; Moreau, Pierre-Arthur.

Integrative taxonomy reveals an unexpected diversity in Geastrum section Geastrum (Geastrales, Basidiomycota) Naturalis
Zamora, J.C.; Calonge, F.D.; Martín, M.P..
A revision of the classification of Geastrum sect. Geastrum is presented on the basis of an integrative taxonomic approach, which involves the study of morphological, molecular, ecological, and chorological data. Four DNA regions are analysed: the ITS and LSU nrDNA, rpb1, and atp6. Phylogenetic reconstructions include 95 ingroup samples and show five main clades, which are considered as five subsections, one of them proposed as new (G. subsect. Hungarica), and a total of 27 lineages recognizable at species level. Discriminant function analyses, ANOVAs and Tukey’s HSD tests on more than 500 basidiomata reveal the utility of several quantitative morphological characters for species delimitation. As a result of the combination of the different sources of...

Occurrence and distribution of Perichaena (Trichiaceae, Myxomycetes) in the Brazilian Northeastern Region Acta Botanica
Cavalcanti,Laise de Holanda; Bezerra,Andrea Carla Caldas; Barbosa,David Itallo; Agra,Leandro de Almeida Neves Nepomuceno; Powell,Nestor Valente; Lima,Vitor Xavier de; Costa,Antônia Aurelice Aurélio.
The known distribution of Perichaena calongei, P. chrysosperma, P. corticalis, P. depressa, P. microspora, P. pedata and P. vermicularis in the nine states that comprise Brazil's Northeast Region (1,548,672 km2) is presented herein, enhancing our understanding of the distribution of the genusPerichaena (Trichiaceae, Myxomycetes) in the Neotropics. This inventory encompasses a 100-year period (1914-2014), and analyzes material deposited in herbaria and collected by the authors. The collected material came from areas of thorny deciduous vegetation typical of the Caatinga biome and portions of savannah in the continent's interior, rainforests, restingas (tropical moist broadleaf forests found along Brazil's coastal spits) and mangroves of the Atlantic Forest...

Occurrence and distribution of the Ceratiomyxales (Myxomycetes) in northeastern Brazil BABT
Cavalcanti,Laise de Holanda; Bezerra,Andrea Carla Caldas; Costa,Antônia Aurelice Aurélio; Ferreira,Inaldo do Nascimento; Bezerra,Maria de Fátima de Andrade.
Order Ceratiomyxales, which belongs to subclass Ceratiomyxomycetidae, includes the exospore bearing Myxomycetes, solely comprising family Ceratiomyxaceae and genus Ceratiomyxa, with four species. Based on the literature, on herbarium collections, and on recent surveys carried out by the authors in different states and ecosystems, it was possible to determine the occurrence and distribution of C. fruticulosa (cosmopolitan),C. morchella and C. sphaerosperma (predominantly tropical or subtropical) in northeastern Brazil. Species descriptions and illustrations are presented, as well as a map of their geographical distribution in eight of the nine states of Northeast Brazil. This order is being recorded for the first time for the state of Sergipe. Ceratiomyxa...
