| En aout 1983, nous sgnalions que "plus de 65 acrediens ont ete recenses au Bresil pour avoir une importance economique. Dans l' Etat de Pernanbuco, un nouveau ravageur prend de l' importance: Stiphra robusta (Mello-Leitao 1939) depuis ces trois dernieres annes. Par suite du recul de la caatinga, de l'augmentacion des perimetres irrigues et de l'introduction de nouvelles essences vegetales, il est probable que les acidiens vont prendre progressivement une place de plus en plus grande, tant dans les cultures de type clairieres amenagees, encloses dans les forets seches, que dans les cultures des grands perimetres irrigues ou dans les paturages. |

| A Embrapa presta serviços de consultoria? Esta é uma atividade que, sob determinadas circunstâncias, pode fazer parte do trabalho da Embrapa. A consultoria é uma atividade em crescimento, também na vitivinicultura e na fruticultura de clima temperado, nas quais se notam consultores percorrendo as propriedades e as vinícolas. Segundo um dicionário, consultoria é "uma atividade profissional de diagnóstico e formulação de soluções acerca de um assunto ou especialidade". Ou seja, é uma forma de intervenção bastante específica, quando um estabelecimento precisa de um suporte de informação capaz de resolver problemas. |

| The objective of the consultant's m~ss~on, as speeified in the job deseription attaehed to his appointment letter ref. ZS/BBEC-1422 dated June 1st, 1982, was: to advise the CPATSA to improve its researeh in drainage and salinity.
