30種の種子に含まれるポリフェノール含量と1,1-dipheny-2-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH) 消去活性、 還元力および百粒重、種皮色との関連性について検討した。30種の種子のポリフェノール含量とDPPH 消去活性および還元力との間には、それぞれ高い正の相関関係のあることを明らかにした。 また、赤色系種子のみ明度(L*値)、赤味度(a*値)、黄味度(b*値)、彩度(C*値) とポリフェノール含量との間にそれぞれ高い正の相関性のあること、茶、黄色系種子ではL*値とポリフェノール含量との間に高い負の相関性のあることを明らかにした。調査した種子の中でレンゲ、アカクローバ(メジウム)、ダッタンソバ、ナタネはポリフェノール含量が高いが、百粒重は小さい。 手亡、黒金時、白小豆、アカネ大納言、ユキシズカ、ヘアリーベッチ、アワ、ヒエ、蕎麦、黒ゴマのポリフェノール含量と百粒重はともに低い値であった。 Thirty kinds of seeds, we concerning the correlation of polyphenol content and DPPH radical scavenging, reducing power, weight of hundred seeds, coat color. Abstract: Hymenaea courbaril has been used to treat different diseases, although its properties are yet to be scientifically validated. The objective of this study was to determine the cytotoxicity, genotoxicity, antigenotoxicity and antioxidant potentials of hydroethanolic extract from H. courbaril seeds. Therefore, for the cytotoxicity test an anti-melanoma assay was performed in B16F10 strain cells. The genotoxicity and antigenotoxicity was evaluated in bone marrow cells (Permit number: 002/2010) of mice, the antioxidant activity was determined by the DPPH test and the total flavonoid content was also determined.
