An income inequality has been expanded in Japan and some policy is highly needed to revitalize rural areas. This study aims to show causative factors on regional satisfaction level by the estimation of the structural equation model (SEM) with data of each town in Yamagata and Yamaguchi prefectures. Direct and indirect effects of exchange rates on foreign and home prices may induce a change in terms of trade and volume of trade. In particular, the price effect in substitutability between foreign and home products and endogeneity of the foreign price provide evidence for the indirect impact of the exchange rate on home price. Furthermore, elasticity of substitution and degree of returns to scale influence the impact of the exchange rate on terms of trade and trade volume. This study aimed at verifying the effect of genotype x environment interaction on the relative contribution of yield components and final production of different cowpea genotypes. For this, data of yield components of 22 cowpea genotypes were evaluated in four environments in the State of Ceará. A one-way ANOVA tested the variability between genotypes and the Scott-Knott test compared the mean values of the genotypes. The correlations were estimated by a path analysis.
