New records of the elusive marsupial Gracilinanus emiliae (Didelphimorphia, Didelphidae) from the brazilian amazon basin and a range extension for the species Mastozool. neotrop.
Brandão O,Marcus V; da Rocha,Patrício A; Dantas,Silionamã P; Pascoal,Wanieulli.
While described in the early twentieth century, Gracilinanus emiliae is still one of the least known taxa of its genus, with fewer than 20 specimens in scientific collections. In Brazil, only 2 specimens are known from the vicinity of Belém, Pará, and 2 specimens were recently reported from Amapá. We report here 2 new localities records for this country, which represent a significant range extension in the distribution of this marsupial. The new records corroborate the fact that G. emiliae inhabit primary lowland rain forest and it is present in great portion of the Amazonian border.

Suarez-Castro,Andrés F; Ramírez-Chaves,Héctor E; Rodríguez-Posada,Miguel E; García,Javier.
We present new records of Peropteryx leucoptera from two localities in the Colombian Llanos. For this species these records constitute both the northern-most record and the first time it has been found in a different ecosystem such as the savannas of the Orinoco. In addition we report the first record of P. pallidoptera from the eastern Andean slopes in the Amazonian foothills of Colombia, which constitutes the northern-most known record for this species.
