| O aumento da demanda pelo uso da água na bacia do Rio Paracatu vem ocasionando sérios problemas ambientais e conflitos entre os usuários. Para a gestão mais eficiente dos recursos hídricos, é importante o conhecimento do comportamento hidrológico da bacia hidrográfica, no presente e no futuro, devido às fortes evidências de mudanças climáticas no planeta. O objetivo deste trabalho foi estimar a tendência de variação da disponibilidade hídrica na bacia hidrográfica do Rio Paracatu, até o final deste século, considerando dois cenários contrastantes de mudanças climáticas, um para altas emissões de CO2 (A2) e outro para baixas (B2). | ABSTRACT The selection of an appropriate nonstationary Generalized Extreme Value (GEV) distribution is frequently based on methods, such as Akaike information criterion (AIC), second-order Akaike information criterion (AICc), Bayesian information criterion (BIC) and likelihood ratio test (LRT). Since these methods compare all GEV-models considered within a selection process, the hypothesis that the number of candidate GEV-models considered in such process affects its own outcomehas been proposed. | ABSTRACT Climate change impacts need to be considered in water resource planning. This work aims to study of the impacts climate change on Lavrinha headwater watershed, located in the Mantiqueira Range, southeastern Brazil. The impacts from climate change (RCP 8.5 scenario) in the Lavrinha watershed runoff were analyzed based on the "Distributed Hydrology Soil Vegetation Model" (DHSVM), forced with the climate simulated for this future climate change scenario. These simulations, in turn, were generated by the Eta regional climate model coupled to Global Climate Model (GCM) HadGEM2-ES for the 2011-2040, 2041-2070 and 2071-2099 periods.
