| In order to know the influence of different components of the Gross Value of Agricultural Production (GVAP) is required the decomposition of the variables. The Shift-Share method is an effective tool for this segmentation. Thereby, the main objective of this study was to analyze, by means of an adaptation in Shift-Share method, the impact of the variables: harvested area, productivity and price on the percentage change in GVAP in the corn production. Six periods were analyzed apart from (1990-1996, 1996- 2002, 2002-2008 and 2008-2013) and also the entire period (1990-2013), in the main center corn producer in Sergipe State.
