O objetivo do presente estudo foi avaliar os efeitos da idade das fêmeas (um, dois e três anos) e do mês de postura (março, abril e maio) sobre as características físicas dos ovos da perdiz vermelha (Alectoris rufa) criada em cativeiro. O peso (W), o comprimento máximo (L) e a largura máxima (B) de 2878 ovos foram determinados diretamente, enquanto o índice de forma (B/L), o volume (V) e a superfície (S) foram calculados com base nos parâmetros determinados diretamente. The use of alternative foods to replace conventional foods is becoming a source of research for many researchers. The cashew nut meal (CNM) has high energy and protein value, may be a partial substitute for corn and soybean meal for poultry feed. In this context, this research was conducted to evaluate the effect of inclusion of CNM on the utilization of nutrients in the ration for laying hens, as well as the performance and characteristics of the eggs. The objective of this work was to evaluate the effects of parboiled rice whole bran (PRWB) inclusion in laying diets for Japanese quails, on their performance, egg quality, and economic viability. A total of 448 17-week-old quails were weighed and distributed in a completely randomized design with seven treatments and eight replicates of eight birds each. A control diet (no PRWB) and six diets, containing 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30% of PRWB, were tested.
