Experimentalmente, el cálculo de la evapotranspiración se realiza con una precisión razonable usando lisímetros de pesada, técnicas de Eddy Correlation y relación de Bowen. The aim of this study was to analyze, under the energetic point of view, the cultivation of corn in three management systems (low, medium and high-tech), using two landrace varieties ('Argentino' and 'BR da Várzea'), a double hybrid cultivar (SHS 4080) and a simple hybrid (IAC 8333). Five performance indicators were used: energy efficiency, liquid cultural energy, cultural efficiency, energy balance and productive energy efficiency. ABSTRACT Surface temperature (Ts) is a determining factor to obtain energy balance parameters, being relevant to understand the influence of this variable on the estimation of evapotranspiration. Thus, the objective of this study was to simulate errors in Ts estimation to verify the consequences of actual evapotranspiration (ETa) estimated by the SAFER (Simple Algorithm for Evapotranspiration Retrieving) model. For this, an image of the Landsat-8 satellite was used to induce errors from 0.2K to 10K in the variable Ts, allowing verifying the consequences in the ETa data. Impact of irrigation on yield and energy balance of the production of oil and cake of two sunflower varieties REA

The energy balance for the production of sunflower oil and cake was carried out during the agricultural and industrial stage phase, where it was considered a cold extraction by hydraulic pressing, with the plant location in a rural area with a radius of 30km range. Data on productivity was used in two varieties of sunflower (Helio 358 and Aguará 04) grown in different seasons (2007/2008, 2008/2009), under different irrigation levels. Data showed that irrigation resulted in an increase in productivity of both varieties, and the best response was observed for Aguará 04 variety. Material embodiment and energy flows as efficiency indicators of soybean (Glycine max) production in Brazil REA

As the requirement for agriculture to be environmentally suitable there is a necessity to adopt indicators and methodologies approaching sustainability. In Brazil, biodiesel addition into diesel is mandatory and soybean oil is its main source. The material embodiment determines the convergence of inputs into the crop. Moreover, the material flows are necessary for any environmental analysis. This study evaluated distinct production scenarios, and also conventional versus GMO crops, through the material embodiment and energy analysis. GMO crops demanded less indirectly applied inputs. The energy balance showed linearity with yield, whereas for EROI, the increases in input and yield were not affected.

Энергетический баланс и чистая эффективность роста плоской устрицы (Ostrea edulis L.) IBSS Repository

Исследованы энергетический баланс и чистая эффективность роста (коэффициент К2) плоской устрицы (Ostrea edulis L.) в онтогенезе. Выявлены общие тенденции изменений отдельных его компонентов в процессе роста и распределение энергетических трат на индивидуальную продукцию, энергетический обмен, ассимилированную и потреблённую пищу. Дана характеристика сезонных изменений чистой эффективности роста, связанных с температурой воды и массой тела, динамика которых описывается уравнением множественной регрессии. Показано, что максимальные значения К2 у исследованного вида могут составлять 0.63 – 0.67.

The effects of fish hydrolysate (CPSP) level on Octopus maya (Voss and Solis) diet: Digestive enzyme activity, blood metabolites, and energy balance ArchiMer

As has been demonstrated in previous studies, Octopus maya can be fed on artificial diets. In the present study six different diets were assayed. Five diets were designed to test the effect of percentage of inclusion of fish protein concentrate (CPSP: 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20%) and were offered to octopuses as a specifically designed artificial diet. The sixth diet consisted of frozen crab (Callinectes spp) and was used as control diet. Blood metabolites and energy budget of octopuses were evaluated to determine how CPSP levels modulate the digestive capacity and allow retaining energy for growth. The climate of the SW Atlantic Ocean is described for representative summer and winter months. The description is based on mean fields of surface and upperair metereological measurements. Maps and data have been obtained from national and international information centers. Other sources also were considered. The Malvinas Current is a year-round sink for the sensitive heatflux. The Malvinas and Brazil Currents and their zone of confluence are the most important oceanographic and climate features in the region of South Atlantic Ocean.

O objetivo do presente estudo foi avaliar os impactos de três ciclos de seca/ reirrigação sobre os rendimentos quânticos da fluorescência da clorofila a, acúmulo de prolina e ajustamento osmótico. Dez plantas cultivadas em vasos com capacidade de 150 L de solo foram submetidas a três ciclos sucessivos de seca/reirrigação (S/R) e outras dez foram mantidas irrigadas em capacidade de campo. Os ciclos S/R não promoveram ajustamento osmótico nas plantas mantidas com suspensão da irrigação (CSI), apesar do acúmulo de prolina. Dada a necessidade de se conhecer melhor a viabilidade econômica e energética da mamona (Ricinus communis) para o Estado do Ceará, enquanto um dos maiores produtores de oleaginosas no Nordeste do Brasil, o presente trabalho foi desenvolvido com o objetivo de elaborar um balanço econômico e energético da produção de mamona para obtenção de biodiesel no Estado do Ceará. A pesquisa foi realizada nos Municípios de Boa Viagem, Tauá e Pedra Branca. Foram utilizados os dados primários recolhidos dos produtores em entrevistas diretas.
