日高管内サラブレッド種生産農家における放牧草中水溶性炭水化物含量およびウマの糞性状の季節変化 OAK

ウマの後腸内に水溶性炭水化物(WSC)が大量に流 れ込むと、代謝障害を引き起こす可能性が指摘されて いる。牧草中のWSC含量は乾草などに比べて生草で 高く、また同じ牧草でも季節によって変化することが 知られている。本研究では放牧草中のWSC含量、およ びそれらを採食したウマの後腸内発酵性状の指標とし て糞性状を測定し、季節聞で比較した。調査は日高管 内のサラブレッド種生産農家5戸の繁殖雌馬用放牧地 と、そこで放牧飼養されている繁殖雌馬(のべ98頭) を用い、5、7、9月に行った。放牧草中WSC含量は 7月、9月(13.4、9.3%DM)に比べて5月(19.2%DM) に高かった(p<O.05) 。糞の乳酸濃度は504~729μg/g DMと季節聞で有意な差はなかったが、総VFA濃度は 5月、7月、9月の順に高かった(p<O.05)。糞のpH は7月(6.35)、9月(6.42)に比べて5月(6.08)に低 かった(p<O.05)。放牧草中WSC含量が15%DMを上回 るとき、糞のpHは低下する傾向がみられた。放牧草中 WSC含量が高い春はもちろん、夏、秋においても15% DM程度にまでWSC含量が高くなる場合、ウマの放牧 飼養管理に注意を払う必要があることが示唆された。 It is pointed out the overflow of water-soluble carbohydrates (WSC) into hindgut may cause the metabolic disorders in horses. ABSTRACT This study aimed to evaluate the effects of including 200 g kg −1 dried distillers grains with solubles (DDGS) to xylanase- and protease-supplemented diets for dogs on kibble properties, digestibility, fecal characteristics, and palatability.
