The present study includes the specimens collected in 1982 during the oceanographic cruise "M.D. 32" (11 species identified) and those from the collections of the Museum of Paris (l5 species identified). It allows the completion of our knowledge about the ichthyofauna of the region. Of a total of 49 species, including 24 recorded in the bibliography, 15 are new records for the area and include 2 new species (Uropterygius macrocephalus, Uropterygius tigrinus, Gymnorhorax enigmaticus, Synaphohranchus affinis, Synaphobranchus brevidorsalis, Muraenichthys gymnotus, Apterichtus klazingai, Coloconger raniceps, Conger wilsoni, Rhechias wallacei, Ariosoma SP., Serrivomer beani and Venefica proboscidea; new species; Channomuraena bauchotae Saldanha & Quéro.... |
