| This description of the French fishing fleets of the North Sea/English Channel/Atlantic for the year 2005 was done in the context of IFREMER's programme, "Information systems and observation techniques, economy and diagnostics of the evolution of resources and their use". This programme brings together projects that have ambitions specific to each. The "Fisheries Information Systems" (FIS) project constitutes the operational and multidisciplinary fisheries observatory.
