Analyse économique de la pêcherie crevettière de Guyane Française ArchiMer
Gilly, B.; Cochet, Y..
The french Guyana sh rimp fishery has grown from the sixties, following the development of US a nd Japanese fleets. The EEZ delimitation in 1977 and the french policy towards promotion of french vessels allowed, since 1980, the emergence of french ship-owners. The paper analyses the recent economie evolution of the enterprises and underlines first the importance of this activity within regional economy, and second its dependance on imported inputs. The french policy leads to an incrcase of the share of the net added value that remains in the depanment, but it also come to a poor financial status of the french ship-owners. The data collected and given in this paper will be used to feed a bio-economic model o f the shrimp fishery.

Bioeconomic model of the dynamics of fisheries facing global economic and environment changes: the French Guyana shrimp fishery ArchiMer
Chaboud, Christian; Thebaud, Olivier.
In the past two decades, the French Guyana shrimp fishery has known dramatic evolutions, largely driven by global changes. On the economic side, two major driving factors are the globalization of the shrimp market, with a decreasing trend in real prices, an d the long-term increase in fuel prices worldwide. On the environmental side, recruitment of the two main species of shrimp targeted in the fishery seems to have decreased over the last decade. This decrease is probably related to hydroclimatic modifications linked to global change. It is important to assess the adaptive capacity of the fishery facing such changes, as well as the relevance of past and future public policies to improve this capacity. A key component of this adaptive capacity is the way...

Evaluation du volume et cartographie des captures accessoires de la pêcherie de crevettes Pénéïdes en Guyane française ArchiMer
Moguedet, Philippe; Nerini, David; Gueguen, F..

Nerini, D..
Two trawl surveys (1 993 may, october) have been conducted by the IFREMER in order to carry out a typology of demersal populations and to map the spatial distribution of the penaeid shrimp Penoeus subtilis (French Guyana shrimp fishery Deet target species) over the French Guyana continental shelf. For this purpose, a particular data analyses procedure was designed. On one hand, inertia and cluster analysis were used to detemline the main structures of dcmersal communities. On the other hand, mapping of Penaeus subtilis distribution, and espccially of the recruits in the fisher)', \Vas obtained through geostatistic technique. Impacts of the Amazon and Guyana ri vers on the demersal ecosystem are strong. They inducc separation between the demersal...

New species of Pambolus Haliday and Phaenocarpa Foerster (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Pambolinae, Alysiinae) from French Guyana, Suriname and Panama Naturalis
Braet, Y.; Achterberg, C. van.
Ten new species of Braconidae (Hymenoptera) from French Guyana, Suriname and Panama are described and illustrated. Seven species of the genus Pambolus Haliday, 1836, (Pambolinae: P. pappi spec. nov., and P. rufus spec. nov. from French Guyana, P. granulatus spec. nov. from Suriname, P. duplotaeniatus spec. nov., P. hemitaeniatus spec. nov., P. micropennis spec. nov., and P. microstriatus spec. nov. from Panama) and three species of the genus Phaenocarpa Foerster, 1862 (Alysiinae: P. acarinata spec. nov. and P. insolita spec. nov. from French Guyana, and P. areolata spec. nov. from Panama). Keys to the Neotropical species of both genera are given. Some data on the distribution of other Neotropical species of the genera Phaenocarpa, Idiasta Foerster and...

Doryctorgilus gen. nov. and other new taxa, with a study of the internal microsculpture of the ovipositor in the subfamily Orgilinae Ashmead (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) Naturalis
Braet, Y.; Achterberg, C. van.
One new monotypic genus of the subfamily Orgilinae Ashmead, 1900 (type species: D. morvanae spec. nov.), two new species of the genus Podorgilus van Achterberg, 1994 (P. nemorensis spec. nov. and P. luteus spec. nov.) and one new species of the genus Agathis Latreille, 1804 (A. depressifrons spec. nov.) are described. The internal microsculpture of the ovipositor in several genera of the subfamily Orgilinae has been examined and revealed several new features with a potentially high phylogenetic value. A cladistic analysis has been performed with some of these new character-states which corroborate the recognition of the tribe Mimagathidini Enderlein, 1905 (excluding the subtribe Mesocoelina Viereck, 1918), and support the division of this subfamily into...

Redescription of Epiperipatus edwardsii, and descriptions of five new species of Epiperipatus from Brazil (Onychophora: Peripatidae) Rev. Bras. Zool.
Costa,Cristiano Sampaio; Chagas-Junior,Amazonas; Pinto-da-Rocha,Ricardo.
ABSTRACT Epiperipatus edwardsii (Blanchard, 1847) is redescribed based on fresh material collected near the type locality. Additionally, five new species of velvet worms of the genus Epiperipatus Clark, 1913 from Brazil are described: Epiperipatus hyperbolicus sp. nov., Epiperipatus lucerna sp. nov., Epiperipatus titanicus sp. nov. (Holotypes deposited in MNRJ: Murici, Alagoas State), Epiperipatus beckeri sp. nov. (Holotype female deposited in MNRJ: Camacan, Bahia State) and Epiperipatus marajoara sp. nov. (Holotype male deposited in MZUSP: Breves, Marajó island, Pará State). The peculiar shape of the primary papillae (artichoke-like) of E. titanicus sp. nov. and E. beckeri sp. nov. is documented for the first time. Epiperipatus titanicus sp. nov. has the...
