Performance of ginger grass (Lippia alba) for traits related to the production of essential oil Scientia Agricola
Yamamoto,Paula Yuri; Colombo,Carlos Augusto; Azevedo Filho,Joaquim Adelino; Lourenção,André Luiz; Marques,Márcia Ortiz Mayo; Morais,Guilherme Domingues da Silva; Chiorato,Alisson Fernando; Martins,Antônio Lúcio Mello; Siqueira,Walter José.
Lippia alba (Verbenaceae) is a shrub whose essential oil has important biological, pharmacological, and aromatizing properties. To reach the sustained cultivation of new species with economic potential, the present study aimed to evaluate L. alba performance for fresh leaf matter (FM), leaf dry matter (DM), virus symptoms (VS - Cucumber mosaic virus, CMV), oil yield (OY), and oil chemical composition (OC), and to evaluate DM stability and adaptability. Ten genotypes of four chemical groups (chemotypes) were evaluated in six experiments designed as randomized blocks with two plants per plot, over the whole State of São Paulo, Brazil. A 2.0 x 0.4 x 1.6 m spacing was used in Monte Alegre do Sul and Pindorama, while a 1.0 x 0.4 x 0.6 m spacing was used in...

Genetic parameters and agronomic characterization of elite barley accessions under irrigation in the Cerrado Agronomy
Sayd, Ricardo Meneses; Amabile, Renato Fernando; Faleiro, Fábio Gelape; Coelho, Mateus Costa; Montalvão, Ana Paula Leite.
There is a demand for barley cultivars that are suitable for the malt industry as well as genotypes that are stable and better adapted for irrigation in the Cerrado. This study aimed to estimate the genetic parameters by assessing 69 barley genotypes from different countries, from 2012 to 2014, under irrigation in the Cerrado. Six agronomic characteristics were assessed: grain yield, plumpness kernel, thousand seeds weight, plant height, degree of plant lodging and days to heading. Analysis of variance, cluster test and phenotypic, genotypic and environmental correlations were performed. Significant effects were observed for genotypes, years and the G x E interaction. High values of broad-sense heritability (> 86%) were found for all the...

Consistency of two stability analysis methods in potatoes Ciência Rural
Souza,Velci Queiroz de; Pereira,Arione da Silva; Silva,Giovani Olegário da; Fritsche Neto,Roberto; Oliveira,Antônio Costa de.
The objective of this research was to compare the consistency of the bi-segmented and AMMI (additive main effects and multiplicative interaction analysis) methods for estimating yield stability in potatoes. Data of ten genotypes evaluated in 34 environments (local, growing season and year combinations) of the Rio Grande do Sul state, Brazil, in 1994 and 1995 were used. Three data sets were analyzed: 34-environment data set and two 17-environment data subsets, which were chosen by randomly dividing the total data set. For the 34-environment data set, the models gave similar results in relation to the stable genotypes, but they differed with regard to the unstable genotypes. For the 17-environment data sets, the bi-segmented model showed more consistent...
