Grain must be transported from one location to another. Several disadvantages are associated with grain transportation, especially manual loading into trailers and silos. The need for a grain handling equipment became pertinent; hence, this study designed and fabricated a simple and medium size auger aimed at conveying grains upward into a silo. The conveyor was fabricated from pure local materials considering the techno – economic properties. Tests were run on the conveyor using granular materials like maize, sorghum and gari at 13% moisture content. The angles of test were 00, 150, 300, 450, and 600 for each grain. Impact of postharvest and/or food processing (such as flour milling to agricultural and food-resource materials) on the digestibility of foodstuffs was investigated through a simulated gastro-intestinal in vitro digestion technique. The differences among the starch digestibilities of cooked rice grain and slurry were examined. In vitro digestion techniques are commonly applied to starch-based milled materials such as flours used for bread making. Se ha desarrollado la metodología de estimación de alteración de algunas propiedades y un índice integral de fertilidad de los suelos irrigados de México atribuible al cambio climático global durante el siglo XXI. Esta metodología fue aplicada para evaluar la vulnerabilidad de la productividad de los cultivos de maíz de grano y trigo bajo riego en algunos distritos de riego de referencia del país ubicados en diferentes zonas climáticas. El Se inorgánico en ovinos ha provocado cambios ruminales (pH, AGV y población microbiana) y en digestibilidad de algunos nutrientes; por lo que posiblemente estos cambios puedan influir sobre el requerimiento de Se para corderos en crecimiento. Por ello se realizó un experimento en dos cuadros latinos repetidos con arreglo factorial de tratamientos, usando 8 corderos (43.2 ± 4.7 kg de peso) con cánula ruminal y duodenal. In corn, when the first female inflorescence is removed, the plant often produces new female inflorescences. This allows the first ear to be harvested as baby corn (BC) and the second as green corn (GC) or dry corn (DC), that is, mature corn. The flexibility provided by a variety of harvested products allows the grower to compete with better conditions in the markets. We evaluated BC, GC, and DC yields in corn cultivars AG 1051, AG 2060, and BRS 2020, after the first ear was harvested as BC. A random block design with ten replicates was utilized.
