| O objetivo deste trabalho foi selecionar famílias S5 de milho-pipoca com base na divergência genética e no desempenho per se. Foram avaliadas 144 famílias S5, obtidas da população Beija-flor. O experimento foi instalado em Viçosa, na safra 2002/2003, no delineamento em blocos aumentados, com as testemunhas IAC 112 e Zélia, intercaladas a cada dez famílias. A divergência genética foi predita pelo método de otimização de Tocher, utilizando a distância generalizada de Mahalanobis. Foram formados 23 grupos. Dentro de cada grupo, estipularam-se pontos de corte para índice de prolificidade (≥ 1), peso de 100 grãos (≤ 15 g) e rendimento de grãos (≥ 1.000 kg ha-1). | This study aimed to develop a Geographic Information System (GIS), for storage of information and geographic location of apiaries in eight counties in western Paraná; study the local flora; the land used; and the honey productivity in the harvest of 2010 in two of these areas: Marechal Cândido Rondon and Santa Helena. In order to do so we used the software SPRING, delimiting a radius of action of bees of three kilometers around the apiaries. We interviewed and registered 126 beekeepers with 383 apiaries. | ABSTRACT: The aim of this study was to verify the genetic divergence amongst three broiler genotype, from both sexes, by means of a multivariate performance analysis and carcass traits. Nine hundred and ninety sexed, one-day chicks were utilized; belonged to the following genetic groups: Cobb 500, Hubbard Flex, and Ross 308. | This document presents a comparative assessment of four triannual analyses carried out between 1986 and 1995, on 1300 boats, on average, from the 35 ports of Southern Bay of Biscay fishing fleets (from Loire river to Spanish border).
