| During the last years, numerous authors have increasingly studied ecosystem goods and services so that their quantification can be integrated to support environmental policy and management system. But, there are still many methodological issues to solve, before making valuation of both ecosystem functions and ecosystem services in marine realm. This present study aims (1) to define the ecosystem functions and ecosystem services and (2) to provide their first assessment in the study area, the Saint Malo Gulf (Western Channel).
