Bal arısı (Apis mellifera L.) farklı bitki türlerinin çiçekleri arasında bakteri ve fungal sporların taşınmasında rol oynamaktadır. Mikrobiyal biyolojik mücadele etmenlerinin (fungus, bakteri ve virus) arı kovanından çiçeklere taşınmasında, bal arılarının taşıma yeteneğinin kullanılması entomovektör teknolojisi olarak bilinmektedir. Entomovektör teknolojisinin uygulama şekli; arı kovanına takılan dağıtıcı bir aparat içerisine kullanılacak mikrobiyal biyolojik mücadele etmeninin toz formulasyonu bırakılmakta ve kovandan çıkan arıların vücutlarına bulaşan bu etmenin bitkiye dağıtımı sağlanmaktadır.

Robustness in the mineral supply from temporary grasslands Organic Eprints

The current study examined the capacity of different temporary grassland legume-grass mixtures under different N supply levels to supply similar amounts of elements in systems where the herbage is cut and feed. Mixtures showed a good robustness in supplying equal amounts of mineral elements in the combined herbage as well as equal concentrations in dry matter of mineral elements compared to the same species in monocultures. The reasons for the mixed systems to be able to buffer differences in N supply levels as well as different compositions of the mixtures were that legume leaves and stems had similar concentrations of mineral elements, whether in monocultures or in mixtures with grasses. Organic farmers adhere to high standards in producing quality food while protecting the environment. However, organic farming needs to improve continuously to keep meeting its ambitious objectives. The project ‘Replacement of Contentious Inputs in Organic Farming Systems’ (RELACS) will foster the development and adoption of cost-efficient and environmentally safe tools and technologies to further reduce the use of external inputs on organic farms across Europe as well as in Non EU Mediterranean countries. Project partners will provide scientific support to develop fair and implementable EU rules to improve current practices in organic farming.
