Особенности формирования гельминтофауны мальков сингиля Liza aurata (Risso) в Черном море IBSS Repository

Впервые в районе Севастополя изучены особенности заражения мальков сингиля Liza aurata длиной 30 - 50 мм (1 - 8 мес.) трематодами трех видов - Saccocoelium tensum, S. obesum, Saturnius papemae, личинками нематоды Hysterothylacium aduncum, которые характерны для взрослых кефалей, Скребень Telosentis exiguus является мальковым паразитом кефали. Saturnius papemae - новый для черноморского сингиля вид трематоды.

Дополнено описание трематоды Stephanostomum pristis (Deslongchamps, 1824), основан­ное на оригинальном материале от 3 видов тресковых рыб (капелана, люски и тресочки Эсмарха; последний вид - новый хозяин для S. pristis) из Кельтского моря. Обсуждена значимость таких морфологических признаков, как количество и размеры шипов ротовой присоски, расположение желточников в диагностике трематод рода Stephanostomum.

Паразиты гребневиков - вселенцев в Черном море IBSS Repository

У 3 видов черноморских гребневиков - Mnemiopsis leidyi Agassiz, 1865, Beroe ovata Mayer, 1912 и Pleurobrachia pileus Müller,1776 в настоящее время зарегистрирован только один вид паразита - нематода Hysterothylacium aduncum (Rud.,1802), представленная личинками III - IV стадии развития. M. leidyi и B. ovata являются случайными хозяевами для H. aduncum. Высокая зараженность P. pileus данным паразитом указывает на его участие в жизненном цикле нематоды в качестве дополнительного хозяина.

Nuevas localidades y huéspedes para Thalassomyces fagei (Boschma) [(Ellobiopsidae, protista (incertar sedis))] OceanDocs

A thalassomyces fagei (Boschma) se lo encontró como parásito de Euphausia distinguenda, extendiendo así la distribución de estos huéspedes-parásitos para el Pacífico Ecuatorial Oriental. El mismo parásito se lo encontró en Nyctiphanes simplex, en muestras provenientes de las islas Gálapagos, siendo ésta la primera cita para el área del Pacífico.

El pescado salado suele ser atacado por diversos parásitos, cuando es almacenado en condiciones inapropiadas. Entre ellos se encuentran los coleópteros y principalmente Dermestes lardarius que ha sido descrito en diversas partes del mundo. En nuestro país hemos constatado que dos especies distintas parasitan las diferentes preparaciones de pescado salado seco, Dermestes maculata y Dermestes peruviana.

Presencia de Platasterias latiradiata Gray en aguas ecuatorianas OceanDocs

Se amplía la distribución biogeográfica de Platasterias latiradiata (Gray), hasta el Ecuador, considerada un fósil viviente, la que ha sido encontrada sólo en el Pacífico Litoral mexicano y centroamericano. En un mapa se da a conocer la nueva distribución, así como también un estudio comparativo de la morfología externa de una manera similar a los reportes y contribuciones de Caso, M, (1961, 1970, 1976). También se incluye una tabla con las medidas de algunas partes del cuerpo consideradas de importancia taxonómica y fotografías mostrando la predación de gasterópodos (Olivela semistriata) como uno de sus alimentos preferidos.

Four species of the family Octopodidae were reported to occur along the Argentine coast Octopus tehuelchus, Eledone massyae, Enteroctopus megalocyathus and Robsonella fontaniana. The first two are distributed from Brazil to south of Rawson and San Jorge Gulf, respectively, in warm-temperate waters. E.megalocyathus and R.fontaniana are of Subantarctic origin, the first ranging from San Matias Gulf to Magellan Strait, the Beagle Channel and Malvinas Islands; R.fontaniana is distributed from San Matias Gulf southwards, with records in North Patagonian and San Jorge Gulfs, Chile and Peru. A synopsis of information about taxonomical status, patterns of geographic distribution and biological aspects of these four coastal octopodids is given.

An update of the knowledge on the three most important ommastrephid species that inhabit the SW Atlantic: Illex argentinus, Martialia hyadesi and Ommastrephes bartramii, is presented. Up to the moment, only I.argentinus was intensively studied. Its distribution, population structure, reproduction, growth and paralarval development are analyzed, togheter with other aspects of its biology, such as feeding, predators and parasites. Also its utilization for human consmption is considered. Regarding M.hyadesi and O.bartrami, information on their distribution and biology is presented.

Efectos del deterioro producido por mixosporidios de la especie Kudoa rosenbuschi en la musculatura de Merluccius hubbsi OceanDocs

Parasitized and non-parasitized hake fillets obtained at fish processing plants were compared in order to assess the efects of Kudoa rosenbuschi myxosporidia on muscle of Merluccius hubbsi. The following studies were carried out: a)incidence and severity of parasitism; b)proteolytic and spoilage at a histologic level; c)pH and proximal composition in parasitized and non-parasitized fillets; and c)parasitism action on gelified products. Gel strength, elasticity and organoleptic level in gelified products were lower for parasitized samples. Recommendations are put forward as to conditioning and cooling of the catch and subsequent processing in order to lessen the effects of parasitism.

Ecological studies of parasites of commercially important fish species along the Kenyan Coast OceanDocs

This study has been carried out over a period of four months (August, November 2001 and January, March 2002). The study aimed at establishing the magnitude of parasitization in different fish species as well as quantifying the relationship between the parasites and their fish hosts. Fish samples were collected from five main landing beaches: Vanga, Shimoni, Gazi, Mombasa and Kilifi. Fish samples examined for Parasites included: Siganus sutor, Plectorhynchus flavomaculatus, P. This paper summarizes the present knowledge on Merluccius hubbsi and its fishery in Argentina, based on the model proposed by the Technical Secretary of Comisión Técnica Mixta del Frente Marítimo, in 1990. It includes the taxonomic location of the species, its geographical distribution, stock unity, structure and population dynamics. It describes the fishing gear and fishing operations and presents the available information on selectivity and discards. The paper shows the data landings separated by fleet. Exploitation regulatory measures in force are included.

Contribución al conocimiento de parasitos de peces de la Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta I. Familia Acanthocolpidae (Trematoda: Digenea) OceanDocs

Se describen y se ilustran seis especies de parásitos pertenecientes a la familia Acanthocolpidae encontradas en 19 especies de peces en su mayoría de considerable importancia económica. El estudio taxonómico de estos parásitos se realizó en la Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta, al norte de Colombia, desde Enero de 1978 hasta Junio de 1979.
