Euselasia eucerus (Hewitson, 1872) (Lepidoptera: Riodinidae) is a Brazilian native species commonly found in Eucalyptus plantations. Biotic mortality factors of this defoliator were studied in a Eucalyptus urophylla plantation in Minas Gerais State, Brazil aiming to identify natural enemies and their impact on this insect. Euselasia eucerus had biotic mortality factors during all development stages. The most important were Trichogramma maxacalii Voegelé and Pointel, 1980 (Hymenoptera: Trichogrammatidae) during egg stage (48.9%), a tachinid fly (Diptera: Tachinidae) during larval stages (10%) and Itoplectis sp. (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) during pupal stage (52.2%). The parasitism rate was higher in the basal part of the plant canopy (37.8%). |

Destas, 18,11% e 22,01%... |

A revised key to the females of the Palaearctic species of the genus Plectiscidea Viereck, 1914 (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae; Oxytorinae) is given. Two new species from Siberia are described: Plectiscidea (Plectiscidea) obscura and P. (P.) spuria. Of P. (P.) subteres (Thomson, 1888) and P. (P.) melanocera (Forster, 1871) a new survey of characters is given. The holotype of Aniseres lubricus Förster, 1871 was re-examined and it is ascertained that it represents a species of Pantisarthrus Förster, 1871. One new species of the genus Aniseres Förster, 1871, is described, A. paradoxus spec, nov., and two new species of the genus Eusterinx Förster: E. (? Holomeristus) similis and E. (? Holomeristus) truculenta. A revised key to the females of the Palaearctic... |

The West Palaearctic species of the subfamily Paxylommatinae are reviewed and the species of the genus Hybrizon Fallén, 1813, from the Palaearctic region are keyed. Hybrizon juncoi (Ceballos, 1957) is recognized as a valid species, a neotype is designated for Hybrizon latebricola Nees, 1834, and a lectotype is designated for Plancus apicalis Curtis, 1833. Paxylomma grandis Rudow, 1883, Ogkosoma schwarzi Haupt, 1913, and Eurypterna arakawae Matsumura, 1918, are new junior synonyms of Eurypterna cremieri (de Romand, 1838). |

The Ichneumonidae (Hymenoptera) of the Estação Ecológica of the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte, with emphasis on the Pimplinae species. In one annual cycle 83,712 insects were captured, of which 2,339 were Ichneumonidae, belonging to 17 subfamilies; they were collected by a Malaise trap placed in a montane semidecidual seasonal forest, inside the campus. Among the collected ichneumonids there were 13 genera and 30 species of Pimplinae, of which Pimpla croceiventris was the most frequent species. The species richness of Pimplinae was greater in the ecological station in Belo Horizonte, MG than in other localities studied. |

Flacopimpla was described with one species, F. varelae by Gauld (1991) from Costa Rica (only females, Guanacaste National Park). This genus is recorded for the first time in Brazil and a new species, F. sulina, is described and the distribution in southeast and south of Brazil is mapped (Minas Gerais: Belo Horizonte; Paraná: Telêmaco Borba, Ponta Grossa, Curitiba, Colombo, Antonina). |

The borer beetle Hedypathes betulinus, plague of "erva-mate" (Ilex paraguariensis St. Hil., 1822), has been subject of study aiming its biological control. Larvae of this insect digs galleries in the stem and branches of this tree, difficulting its control. Labena fiorii sp.n. was found in branches of this tree, parasitizing larvae of Hedypathes betulinus in Teixeira Soares and in "aroeira" (Schinus sp.) in larvae of Chydarteres striatus (Fabricius, 1787) in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil. Labena fiorii sp.n., from Paraná (Curitiba; Teixeira Soares) and Santa Catarina (Seara, Nova Teutônia) Brazil, is described. |
