The image fusion is a technique used to integrate images at different spatial resolutions to obtain better spatial information with spectral characteristics of the targets and is a important tool for environmental studies, including drainage and hydric resources. The IHS transformation is a technique used for to integrate images of different spatial resolution, but the resultant images presents redundant areas enhancement, due to abrupt transitions caused to high tonal variations. In this study, a procedure is described which aims to smooth the spatial high frequency areas and to improve the image quality, reducing the footprint by low pass filters. The study area is Igaratá and Jacarei cities, in São Paulo State, and and was applied a merge of Landsat TM... |
