Growth bioestimulant: evaluation of coconut under different doses of crop-set CIGR Journal
Silva, Elisio Sampaio; Lima, Gilberto de Castro Mendonça; Pinto, José de Jesus; MENEZES, ADEMIR SILVA; Pinheiro Neto, Luís Gonzaga; Moreira, Francisco José Carvalho.
The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of bio-stimulant on the vegetative and reproductive aspects of dwarf-coconut over a period of 13 months in the state of Ceará. The experiment was conducted from September 2016 to October 2017, in a commercial production area, located in the municipality of Itarema, state of Ceará, using four-year-old plants, in a triangular spacing of 8 x 8 x 8 m in blocks at random, four doses of Crop-Set bio-stimulant plus control (0; 4; 8; 12 and 16 mL plant-1) with four replications. The Crop-Set bio-stimulant was applied through leaves with a back-pack spray, in the axilla of the ninth leaf of the coconut palm for 13 months. After its application, the number of leaves, flowers, fruits and bunches per plant was...

Production and quality of Sweet Grape tomato in response to foliar fertilization with boron Horticultura Brasileira
Melo,Raphael O; Martinez,Hermínia P; Carneiro,Antonio PS.
ABSTRACT Boron (B) fertilizer application for tomato crop can be carried out by applying the nutrient to the soil or by spraying liquid solutions on leaves. The use of different fertilizers containing B can interfere in fertilization efficiency, since the performance of each product can be determined by its physicochemical properties. The aim of this study was to evaluate the application efficiency of two boron-based commercial foliar fertilizers applied at two time intervals and their possible effects on production components of Sweet Grape tomato. An experiment was conducted under commercial hydroponic system in split-split plot scheme that combined two doses of boron in the nutrient solution [sufficient (25 µmol L-1) or insufficient (6.25 µmol L-1)],...

Photosynthetic pigments, cell extrusion and relative leaf water content of the castor bean under silicon and salinity AGRIAMBI
Ferraz,Rener L. de S.; Magalhães,Ivomberg D.; Beltrão,Napoleão E. de M.; Melo,Alberto S. de; Brito Neto,Jósé F. de; Rocha,Maria do S..
ABSTRACTThe castor bean crop plays an important social, environmental and economic role, especially due to possibility of its use as feedstock for the generation of clean energy. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the contents of photosynthetic pigments, cell membrane extrusion and the relative water content in the leaves of the castor bean cultivar ‘BRS Energia’ under silicon and salinity levels. The experiment was carried out at Embrapa Cotton, in a completely randomized design, in a 4 x 4 factorial scheme, and the treatments consisted of four silicon levels (0, 100, 200 and 300 mg L-1) and four water salinity levels of (ECw 0, 2, 4 and 6 dS m-1), with three replicates. The gradual increase in salinity levels reduced the concentration of photosynthetic...
