| Recent observations on Harpalus griseus: is there a trend (Coleoptera: Carabidae)? Harpalus (Pseudoophonus) griseus is reported in literature to be a rare ground beetle in the Netherlands. Recently, many specimens of this species were observed or collected by means of pitfall traps, window traps and light traps. Besides a number of observations from heathland and drift sand areas in the Veluwe region, H. griseus was collected in several agricultural and anthropogenic habitats around Wageningen. Based on our recent observations the species seems to be more eurytopic than previously thought.
