Program on research and development of rainfed lowland rice in northeastern Thailand which collaborate with the National Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC) was carried out the project to develop a medium maturing, blast resistant, non-glutinous rice line. The cross between IR57514-PMI-5-B-1-2 and RGDU99016-MAS-77 was developed and the progenies were backcrossed to IR57514-PMI-5-B-1-2 for 3 times at RGDU, BIOTEC. The selected promising line; RGDU06337-MAS-122-B-B, was finally obtained.
