| Tendo em vista a necessidade de melhorias na área de pesquisa e desenvolvimento, foi instituída uma comissão (Ordens de Serviço no 50/2010 e no 05/2011) com o objetivo de aprimorar e modernizar a gestão dos laboratórios da Embrapa Florestas. Por meio de questionário levantaram-se informações sobre os laboratórios de outras Unidades da Embrapa e, através de reuniões com pesquisadores, analistas e assistentes ligados aos laboratórios da Unidade, foi possível propor uma nova estrutura. O relatório da comissão apresentou algumas propostas que já foram implementadas e outras que deverão ser implantadas em médio prazo. | The Girolando breed progeny test was established in 1997, as a result of the partnership between Girolando and Embrapa Dairy Cattle. In 2007, the Programa de Melhoramento Genético da Raça Girolando - PMGG (Genetic Improvement Program of the Girolando Breed) was implemented. This Sire Summary/Progeny Test Results document has innovative tools and resources, for breeders and/or other professionals. Those include information regarding molecular markers, the Girolando Linear Evaluation System (SALG) and the updated genetic evaluation of age at first calving. The methods for analysis were modified for this current evaluation and are detailed further in this document. |

| The Girolando breed progeny test was established in 1997, as a result of the partnership between Girolando and Embrapa Dairy Cattle.
