Determination of the treatment period of banana seedlings with rhizobacteria in the control of Meloidogyne javanica Rev. Bras. Frutic.
Lopes,Pollyanna Santiago; Ribeiro,Regina Cássia Ferreira; Xavier,Adelica Aparecida; Rocha,Leandro de Souza; Mizobutsi,Edson Hiydu.
Abstract The introduction of rhizobacteria to the soil can be done via treatment of propagating materials. The aim of this work was to evaluate in greenhouse the influence of immersion periods of micropropagated ‘Prata-Anã’ banana seedling roots in suspension of different rhizobacterial isolates on the growth of seedlings and control of Meloidogyne javanica. The experiment was set up in greenhouse in a randomized block design in a 10 x 2 factorial scheme (rhizobacteria isolates) x (immersion periods: 60 and 120 minutes) with 10 replicates. The additional treatment (control) was composed of seedlings without any treatment infected with M. javanica. Treated seedlings were planted in pots containing soil: previously autoclaved sand. After twenty-four hours,...

Sweet pepper seed responses to inoculation with microorganisms and coating with micronutrients, aminoacids and plant growth regulators Scientia Agricola
Diniz,Kênia Almeida; Silva,Paulo de Albuquerque; Oliveira,João Almir; Evangelista,José Renato Emiliorelli.
Small sized seeds, such as the horticultural species, have limited quantities of reserves that can be balanced by coating then with essential nutrients for their initial development. In addition, inoculation of the seeds with microorganisms may protect the plants against phytopathogens, thus enhancing their growth. The present work had the objective of evaluate the physiological quality and seedling development of sweet pepper seeds and seedlings coated with several kind of films. Seeds were first coated with polymers and then with antagonistic microorganisms (Trichoderma viride, Trichoderma polysporhum, Trichoderma stromaticum, Beauveria bassiana, Metarhizium anisopliae), mycorrhizas, aminoacids, micronutrients and plant growth regulators. Evaluation was...

Bioassay for selection of biocontroller bacteria against bean common blight (Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. phaseoli) BJM
Zanatta,Zarela G.C.N.; Moura,Andréa B.; Maia,Luciano C.; Santos,André S. dos.
Emphasis has been given on selection of micro-organism for biological control. However, in order to evaluate the biological control potential of a great number of micro-organisms in a small period of time it is necessary to develop an efficient bioassay. Seven hundred and sixty bacterial isolates from different habitats, were selected for compatibility with Rhizobium leguminosarum bv. phaseoli (SEMIA 4077 e SEMIA 4080). Among them 596 isolates were ineffective against both rhizobia. Bean seeds immersed in suspension of each one of these isolates were agitated for 5 hours at 10ºC and sowed in non-sterilized soil. The plants were kept in greenhouse. After the development of cotyledonary and primary leaves, these were removed and bioassayed for Xanthomonas...
