This Special Feature of Ecology and Society seeks to communicate a practitioner’s perspective on the application of collaborative adaptive management (CAM) to contemporary natural resource management problems. One goal is to create an ongoing mechanism for dialogue that can connect practitioners, researchers, and policy makers.
