Última Controle quimico do mofo-cinzento do painel de sangria da seringueira. Infoteca-e PEREIRA, J. C. R.; SANTOS, A. F. dos. Estudos foram efetuados para determinar produtos e intervalos de aplicacao de fungicidas, visando-se obter controle eficiente do mofo cinzento. A avaliacao foi baseada em uma escala de severidade com notas variando de 0 a 3. Foi baseada, tambem, na percentagem de plantas reinfectadas. Os fungicidas testados foram: Metiofanato, Benomil, Carbendazim e Clorotalonil, sendo que os produtos Carbendazim e Clorotalonil foram associados aos produtos Metalaxil e Metalaxil-Mancozeb, procurando-se possiveis combinacoes para controle simultaneo do mofo cinzento e cancro estriado do painel. Os resultados evidenciaram o excelente desempenho dos produtos a base de Benzimidazol no controle do mofo cinzento. Com o objetivo de selecionar produtos efetivos contra o cancro estriado, foram conduzidos dois ensaios; no primeiro, procurou-se avaliar o efeito preventivo e no segundo, o efeito curativo. Foram testados os seguintes produtos: Mancozeb, Clorotalonile metalaxil-Mancozeb, Metalaxil e Captafol utilizado como padrao. Dentre os seis fungicidas testados, os produtos a base de Metalaxil, Ridomil e Ridomil-Mancozeb apresentaram bom desempenho no controle de Phytophthora spp., evidenciando os efeitos preventivo e curativo desses produtos. Com base nesses resultados, o Metalaxil-Mancozeb pode ser indicado como alternativa para o controle do cancro estriado. Whenever multilateral trade negotiations move towards reducing most-favoured-nation tariffs, countries benefiting from trade preferences are concerned over the impact the reductions will have on such preferences. The relationship between income and nutrient intake is explored. Nonparametric, panel, and quantile regressions are used. Engle curves for calories, fat, and protein are approximately linear in logs with carbohydrate intakes exhibiting diminishing elasticities as incomes increase. Elasticities range from 0.10 to 0.25, with fat having the highest elasticities. Countries in higher quantiles have lower elasticities than those in lower quantiles. Results predict significant cumulative increases in calorie consumption which are increasingly composed of fats. Though policies aimed at poverty alleviation and economic growth may assuage hunger and malnutrition, they may also exacerbate problems associated with obesity.
