Heat unit accumulation and inflorescence and fruit development in ‘Ubá’ mango trees grown in Visconde do Rio Branco-MG Rev. Bras. Frutic.
Lemos,Lorena Moreira Carvalho; Salomão,Luiz Carlos Chamhum; Siqueira,Dalmo Lopes de; Pereira,Olinto Liparini; Cecon,Paulo Roberto.
Abstract There are little information in the scientific literature on flowering and fruiting of ‘Ubá’ mango trees. These information enables to know the proportion of hermaphrodite flowers in inflorescence, fruit set percentage and developmental stages of the fruit. In this study evaluations on inflorescence and fruit development of the ‘Ubá’ mango tree (Mangifera indica L.) were carried out, as well as the determination of the required number of heat units for full fruit development. Thirty branches whose terminal buds were swollen were selected from five mango trees. With the aid of a camera and a caliper, the panicle and fruit development were evaluated weekly until full fruit development. A digital thermometer was used to record ambient temperatures...

PRODUCTIVITY AND PHENOLOGY OF ACID LIME TAHITI IN A SUBTROPICAL REGION OF PARANÁ STATE Sci. Agrar.Paran. / SAP
Villa, Fabíola; Faria, Felipe Bock; Klosowski, Elcio Silverio; Tsutsumi, Claudio Yuji.
The aim of the present study is to evaluate the productivity and phenological phases of the Tahiti acid lime, cultivated in a subtropical area in western Parana. Two experiments were conducted on private property, from April/2014 to March/2015. The plant material used was composed of plants of four years, variety IAC-5 grafted on rootstock Trifoliata Flying Dragon. The experiment I consisted of fruits collected weekly from 300 lemon plants in production, resulting in the total of collected fruits every month. The second experiment consisted of the phenological phases characterization, carried out by a range of notes and through photographs of the principal phases of plants development reproductive. The experimental design used in the experiments was...

Seasonal variation of the essential oil from two Brazilian native Aldama La Llave (Asteraceae) species Anais da ABC (AABC)
OLIVEIRA,TUANE S. DE; BOMBO,ALINE B.; OLIVEIRA,ADRIANA S.S. DE; GARCIA,VERA L.; APPEZZATO-DA-GLÓRIA,BEATRIZ.
ABSTRACT Aldama arenaria and A. robusta are morphologically similar aromatic species that have seasonal development. The yield and chemical composition of essential oils from aerial and underground vegetative organs of these species were compared to verify the production of volatile metabolites in flowering and dormant phases of development and to identify if there are unique compounds for either species. The major compound in the essential oils from A. arenaria leaves was palustrol (16.22%) and for aerial stems was limonene (15.3%), whereas limonene (11.16%) and α-pinene (19.64%) were the major compounds for leaves and aerial stems from A. robusta, respectively. The major compound for the underground organs was α-pinene, in both species and phenological...
