Functional abilities of cultivable plant growth promoting bacteria associated with wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) crops Genet. Mol. Biol.
Moreira,Fernanda da S.; Costa,Pedro B. da; Souza,Rocheli de; Beneduzi,Anelise; Lisboa,Bruno B.; Vargas,Luciano K.; Passaglia,Luciane M. P..
Abstract In the pursuit of sustainable agriculture, bioinoculants usage as providers of a crop's needs is a method to limit environmental damage. In this study, a collection of cultivable putative plant growth promoting (PGP) bacteria associated with wheat crops was obtained and this bacterial sample was characterized in relation to the functional diversity of certain PGP features. The isolates were obtained through classical cultivation methods, identified by partial 16S rRNA gene sequencing and characterized for PGP traits of interest. Functional diversity characterization was performed using Categorical Principal Component Analysis (CatPCA) and Multiple Correspondence Analysis (MCA). The most abundant genera found among the 346 isolates were...

ENDOPHYTIC BACTERIA USED AS BIOINOCULANTS IN MICROPROPAGATED BANANA SEEDLINGS Rev. Bras. Frutic.
SOUZA,GLEIKA LARISSE OLIVEIRA DORASIO DE; SILVA,DEIVISSON FERREIRA DA; NIETSCHE,SILVIA; XAVIER,ADELICA APARECIDA; PEREIRA,MARLON CRISTIAN TOLEDO.
ABSTRACT The use of bio-fertilizers and microbial inoculants that promote plant growth and increased yield has been accepted as an alternative to reduce the use of chemical fertilizers. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the effect of plant growth promoting bacteria inoculation on growth and quality of micropropagated banana seedlings ‘Prata Anã’. The experimental design was completely randomized, with four replications and the treatments consisted of 24 isolates of endophytic bacteria. The isolates EB-50 (Bacillus sp.) and EB-133 (Bacillus amyloliquefaciens) characterized as diazotrophic, the EB-51 (Bacillus pumilus) indicate for inorganic phosphate solubilization and EB-55(Bacillus subtilis) and EB-40 (Bacillus sp.) indole-3-acetic acid...

Assessment of Rice Associated Bacterial Ability to Enhance Rice Seed Germination and Rice Growth Promotion BABT
Gholamalizadeh,R.; Khodakaramian,G.; Ebadi,A. A..
ABSTRACT The application of beneficial bacteria has recently been used for sustainable agriculture. In current research, 71 bacterial isolates were obtained from rice plant and the rhizosphere soil of different paddy fields in Guilan province, Iran. After primitive investigation, 40 bacteria with typical predominant characteristics were selected. By PCR-RFLP of their 16S r-DNA gene, 8 Operational Taxonomic Units (OTUs) totally consisted of 33 isolates were obtained. From all of them, 8 isolates were selected for rice seed germination experiment, then, effective isolates were used for pot experiment to evaluate their ability for promoting rice growth. All of them were able to increase rice growth and yield, but in different potential. These tested isolates...
