Sua produtividade depende da produção de biomassa, do teor de óleo essencial na biomassa e do teor de safrol no óleo essencial. Em condições naturais, a variabilidade do teor de safrol no óleo essencial é baixa, com coe? ciente de variação de 2,58% (MIRANDA, 2001).
