ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to evaluate the soil chemical properties submitted to fertigation with slaughterhouse (SW) and dairies (DW) wastewater. The experiment was conducted in the Environmental Engineering Center and Sanitary of UFLA/MG in PVC columns filled with Dark Red Latosol (Oxisol) and randomly distributed. The treatments applied with nitrogen based load (300 kg ha years-1 of N) consisted of four doses of SW and DW (100, 200, 300 and 400% of the recommendation) and AQT0 control at random. The soil was collected at a depth of 0.30 m and, subsequently, characterized in terms of physical, chemical and physicochemical. ABSTRACT Studies on plant nutrition are essential for a correct fertilizer management, improving yield and quality of the product, and it also may contribute for an updating recommendation. The aim of this study was to evaluate growth, nutrient accumulation and export, thermal sum and yield of zucchini cultivar Corona F1. The experiment was carried out from August 8 to October 25, 2013, in Santo Antônio de Posse, São Paulo State. At the end of the research, 84 days after transplanting (DAT), we observed 95 cm average height with 36 leaves and 45.8 t ha-1 maximum yield. ABSTRACT Potassium (K) is the nutrient taken up in the greatest quantity by the potato plant. Obtaining information about the relationship between tuber yield and K application rate allows improvements in fertilizer use efficiency. We aimed to evaluate the variation in potassium fertilizer doses in uptake rate of other nutrients and in potato tuber yield. The experiments were carried out in Unaí-MG testing cultivars Ágata and Atlantic and in Mucugê-BA evaluating cultivar Ágata. The experimental design used was randomized blocks. We studied the rates of 0; 70; 110; 220, and 450 kg ha-1 K2O. ABSTRACT Potassium (K) influences the variables that determine quality of fruit and the concentration of phytonutrients to human health and therefore consumer preferences. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of different concentrations of K in the nutrient solution (5, 7, 9 and 11 mM of K) on yield and quality of Cantaloupe fruits under greenhouse conditions. ABSTRACT The authors evaluated the effects of doses of organic compost on the production and accumulation of macronutrients in endive plants in two areas with different fertility levels. The experiments were carried out at Fazenda Experimental São Manuel, located in the municipality of São Manuel, São Paulo State, Brazil. The study was carried out in a completely randomized design with seven treatments, six doses of organic compost (0, 35, 70, 105, 140 and 175 t/ha) and one additional treatment with inorganic fertilizer (N-P-K 4-14-8) and four replicates. O gênero Piper contém mais de mil espécies que se distribuem no sub-bosque e na vegetação secundária de ?orestas tropicais, principalmente na Ásia e América Tropical (WADT et al., 2004). Na Amazônia Sul-Ocidental o gênero Piper também é abundante, destacando-se entre as espécies conhecidas a pimenta-longa (P. hispidinervum), cujo principal produto comercial é o safrol. Sua produtividade depende da produção de biomassa, do teor de óleo essencial na biomassa e do teor de safrol no óleo essencial.
