Sinergism among auxins, gibberellins and cytokinins in tomato cv. Micro-Tom Horticultura Brasileira
Cato,Stella C; Macedo,Willian R; Peres,Lázaro Eustáquio P; Castro,Paulo Roberto de C e.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of isolated and combined applications of gibberellic acid (gibberellin), indolbutyric acid (auxin) and kinetin (cytokinin) on vegetative and reproductive development of tomato test plants (Solanum lycopersicum cv. Micro-Tom), to better elucidate the interactions among these hormonal classes. The following treatments were accomplished through foliar application: GA3 (5 mg L-1); IBA (5 mg L-1); KIN (9 mg L-1); GA3 + IBA (5 mg L-1 + 5 mg L-1); GA3 + KIN (5 mg L-1 + 9 mg L-1); IBA + KIN (5 mg L-1 + 9 mg L-1); GA3 + IBA + KIN (5 mg L-1 + 5 mg L-1 + 9 mg L-1) and Stimulate® (100 mL L-1). Plants from the control were sprayed with water. Stimulate®, is a commercial liquid formulation containing KIN (90 mg L-1), GA3...

Fruit set and yield of apple trees cv. Gala treated with seaweed extract of ascophyllum nodosum and thidiazuron Rev. Bras. Frutic.
Ayub,Ricardo Antonio; Sousa,Anelise Marques de; Viencz,Thayna; Botelho,Renato Vasconcelos.
Abstract The low effective fruiting is one of the biggest problems of apples’ production in Brazil and its main cause involves the process of pollination. The objective was to evaluate the fruit set and production of apple trees cv. Gala treated with extract of seaweed Ascophyllum nodosum and thidiazuron. The experiment was carried out during two cycles (2015/2016 and 2016/2017) in Porto Amazonas, State of Paraná, Brazil, with apple trees cv. Gala. The following treatments were applied at full bloom: thidiazuron at 10 and 15 mg L-1, Ascophyllum nodosum seaweed extract (Algamare®) at concentrations of 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 and 0.6%. No treated plants were used as control. It was evaluated: fruit set, number of fruits, fruit weight, yield per plant, number of...

Residual effect of growth regulators in etiolation and regeneration of in vitro pineapple plants Rev. Bras. Frutic.
Souza,Fernanda Vidigal Duarte; Canto,Ana Maria Mascarenhas Eloy; Souza,Antônio da Silva; Costa,Maria Angélica Pereira de Carvalho.
This work aimed to evaluate the influence of naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) and gibberellic acid (GA3) plant regulators in in vitro etiolation and subsequent regeneration of the PE x SC-60 pineapple hybrid. Nodal segments of in vitro plants with approximately 5-7 cm height were incubated in basic MS culture medium supplemented with 0.0; 0.5 and 1.0 mg L-1 of naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) in combination with gibberellic acid (GA3) in concentrations of 0.0; 0.5 and 1.0 mg L-1, and maintained at 27 ºC under dark condition. Evaluations were carried out at 90 and 180 days after incubation period. The best results for length of etiolated stems were obtained with 1.0 mg L-1 of NAA. In the experiment followed by the regeneration, stems with 3 cm from the etiolation...
