| It has facilities for all kinds of poultry (layers, broilers, turkeys and ducks), and for rabbits. There is also a hatchery. Attention is paid to animal welfare, organic farming, environment, health, feeding, economics, labour and working conditions. One stable has a capacity of 2000 organic laying hens divided over 8 experimental subunits. |

| This study aimed to provide MAFF with an assessment of the potential for organic poultry production in England and Wales and, in particular, to identify likely constraints on the development of organic poultry production enterprises, including physical, financial and market factors. Definition of the physical production parameters for alternative poultry production to organic standards, with particular emphasis on free range and perchery systems and their respective input requirements and output potential. | Tagungsband zum Öko-Landbau-Tag 2007 der Bayerischen Landesanstalt für Landwirtschaft (LfL), der unter dem Motto „Angewandte Forschung und Beratung für den Ökologischen Landbau in Bayern“ stand. An der LfL wird die Forschung zum Ökologischen Landbau mit einem eigenen Arbeitsschwerpunkt instituts- und abteilungsübergreifend koordiniert und durchgeführt. Dieser 3. Öko-Landbau-Tag seit Gründung der LfL im Jahr 2003 sollte den Dialog zwischen Forschung, Beratung und Praxis weiter voranbringen. | Die Betriebsberatung im Ökologischen Landbau ist regional und in kleinstrukturierten Organisationen angesiedelt. Aus diesem Grund sind Vergleichszahlen für die betriebswirtschaftliche Beratung im ökologischen Landbau schwierig zu erstellen und der Informationsaustausch ist nur begrenzt möglich. Das Ziel ist daher der Aufbau eines Berater-Praxisnetzwerkes zum Wissensaustausch und Methodenabgleich. Dabei sollen länderübergreifend betriebswirtschaftliche Daten von Ökobetrieben aus verschiedenen Arbeitskreisen erhoben werden und in Form von Betriebszweigauswertungen (BZA) bzw.
