| In this study~ various spat collectors, factory-made or hand-made are described. Recruiting valuation is realized by calculation of total surface of collectors (aerial photography and sampling method), with modulation by "catching ability" of the different types of collectors. Total mortality and growth are integrated into production valuation. It can be used to determine the relative fluctuations of commercial oyster production after a culture of three years long. In. Marennes-Oleron, the method is used in two test areas for three years with a great variability of catching between 1980 -81 -82. |
