Some observations on biology and feeding behavior in two southern California pycnogonids Naturalis
Bain, Bonnie.
During the years 1980 to 1982, two common southern California pycnogonids, Anoplodactylus californicus Hall, 1912 and Ammothea hilgendorfi (Böhm, 1879) were routinely collected and kept in aquaria. Observations were made both in the field and in the laboratory on feeding behavior and other aspects of the behavior and biology of the two species. It was concluded that, of the two species, Anoplodactylus californicus would be a good candidate to raise in the laboratory for further studies on the biology of these organisms.

Macaronesian Pycnogonida Naturalis
Stock, J.H..
Thirty-two species of Pycnogonida are recorded from the region enclosed by the Azores, Cape Verde Islands and Mauritania, in depths between 0 and 3100 m. Of these, four are new: Eurycyde diacantha, Achelia tenuipes, Achelia turba, and Nymphon curvidens. The ranges of nine species are enlarged.

Indo-West Pacific Pycnogonida collected by some major oceanographic expeditions Naturalis
Stock, Jan H..
Seventy-six species of Pycnogonida, and some unidentifiable forms, belonging to 25 genera in all 8 families, of which 13 species are new to science, are recorded from the Indo-West Pacific region. New species are described in the genera Ascorhynchus, Ammothella, Achelia, Pantopipetta, Nymphon, Callipallene, Phoxichilidium, Anoplodactyhis, and Pycnogonum. A phylogenetic hierarchy of the families of extant Pycnogonida is presented.

Littoral Pycnogonida from Oman Naturalis
Stock, Jan H..
Sixteen species of Pycnogonida are recorded from littoral or very shallow waters (0-3 m) of the coast of Oman. Four species are new to science: A. lagenaria, Ammothella omanensis, Achelia boschi, and Pycnogonum moolenbeeki. Since up to now no littoral Pycnogonida have been recorded from the Arabian peninsula, all other species are new to this region, with the exception of one which was recorded from deeper waters off Oman before. For some of them the range is considerably extended.

A new species of Ammothella (Pycnogonida: Ammotheidae) from deep water off San Nicolas Island, California Naturalis
Dojiri, Masahiro; Cadien, Donald B.; Phillips, Charles A..
Ammothella killix n. sp. is described from upper bathyal depths on the Cortez Ridge; it is the tenth in the genus from the eastern Pacific, and sixth from California. It differs from its congeners most noticeably in having chelifore fusion, and in bearing slender spiny tubercles on all of the following parts: the chelifore scapes, ocular tubercle, abdomen, lateral processes, first coxae, mid-dorsal surface, and anterior cephalic corners. A key to the species of adult Ammothella from California waters is included.

Pycnogonida collected in interstitia of coral sand and rubble in the Netherlands Antilles. Amsterdam Expeditions to the West Indian Islands, Report 58 Naturalis
Stock, Jan H..
Seven species of Pycnogonida are recorded from the islands of Curaçao and Bonaire, living in coral debris (sand, rubble), often quite deep (40—80 cm) in the sediment. Two species (both new) occur in larger numbers and are considered truly interstitial. The others possibly are only accidental in this kind of habitat.
