Sustainable fisheries management requires assessment of exploited populations and communities. Traditional fisheries stock assessment methods need species‐specific input data, which for skates have only recently become available in Europe. To overcome this limitation, a Bayesian multispecies biomass production model was developed. In addition to aggregated landings, input data are short time series with species‐specific information (landings and biomass indices). The Brazilian endemic deep-water onefin skate (Gurgesiella dorsalifera) is a rare small species recently described in the 80's. No biological information is available on this species and its extremely restricted geographic distribution has been used to classify it as a vulnerable species under IUCN red list criteria. Twenty four specimens (115 to 207 mm disc width) were captured off southern Brazilian coast at the region of Cape Santa Marta Grande (State of Santa Catarina) by deep-water otter trawl (430-524 m). Part B, Nos. 1a and 1b of this series, comprising of the Batomorphii the first and the second sections on the Rajoidei, is continued with the last group of rajoid taxa as far as material was available. The tooth morphology of representatives of eleven more genera and subgenera, namely <i>Arhynchobatis, Bathyraja richardsoni-type, Cruriraja, Irolita, Notoraja, Pavoraja (Insentiraja), Pavoraja (Pavoraja), Pseudoraja, Raja (Atlantoraja), Raja (Okamejei)</i> and <i>Rhinoraja</i>, is described and illustrated by SEM-photographs.
