Última Study retrospective with relationship to the animal agressors for rabies in the municipal district of São Paulo, Brazil, in the period from 1988 to 1997 MV&Z Ramos, Pedro Melguizo; Ramos, Pedro Silva. All mammals are susceptible to rabies and are able to transmit this fatal disease to man. In urban space, dogs are the main vehicles for the transmission of the illness. The study presented here reports that dogs are the most involved animal species in accidents with humans. If the animal is observed for 10 days after the attack, not only rabies incidence in humans but also the number of rabies prophylactic treatments will decrease.
