| Sustainable development of the marine part of the wetlands located on the Atlantic coast of France (Pertuis Charentais) implies the difficult integration of European and national regulations in the regional frame. Spatial and temporal patterns of this area show the strong relationship between human activities (salt, sheIlfish farming, agriculture, fisheries...) and physical evolution of this area. Regulations based on zoning have to be completed by more precise studies including the major role of water uses regulated by human practices. |
