Araucaria angustifolia is a species of high economic value, timber, food and to resin but have problems concerning propagation by seed due to the low viability of propagules. The micropropagation may be an alternative for producing seedlings of good quality. The present study evaluated the in vitro establishment of stem segments of A. angustifolia collected in three different positions and in different shifts in culture media and their dilutions. After 60 days of sowing in plastic trays held excision of stem segments of approximately 2-3 cm in length.
