| De snuitkevergenera Acalles, Ruteria and Kyklioacalles in Nederland (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) Op zowel de meest recente naamlijst van de Nederlandse kevers (Brakman 1966) als op de naamlijst van in Nederland voorkomende snuitkevers (Heijerman 1993) staan vijf soorten genoemd die behoren tot de genera Acalles, Ruteria of Kyklioacalles. Deze soorten zijn klein en onopvallend gekleurd en hebben bovendien een zeer verborgen levenswijze. Dit heeft tot gevolg gehad dat de dieren zelden verzameld zijn. Tevens was de soortstatus soms onduidelijk. Recent hebben enkele auteurs deze genera grondig gereviseerd. | Ieder jaar worden in Nederland nieuwe snuitkevers voor onze fauna verzameld. Het betreft soms soorten die door toedoen van de mens ons land hebben weten te bereiken, anderen hebben hun areaal kennelijk spontaan weten uit te breiden. Daarnaast is er sprake van cryptische soorten, die vroeger niet werden onderscheiden van nauw verwante en sterk gelijkende taxa. De grote regelmaat waarmee nieuwe aanwinsten worden vastgesteld, heeft inmiddels geleid tot een achterstand in de meldingen en onduidelijkheid over hoeveel snuitkeversoorten er nu eigenlijk in Nederland voorkomen. | The weevil genus Larinus in the Netherlands, with Larinus turbinatus as an addition to the Dutch fauna (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) Larinus turbinatus is reported for the Netherlands for the first time. The first record of this species is from 2004, when one specimen was swept from a chalk grassland in the very south of the Netherlands. Since then the species was discovered at several sites. Apart from L. turbinatus the genus Larinus includes two other Dutch species, viz. L. planus and L. sturnus. Data on the Dutch and European distribution and ecology of all three Dutch species are presented. A key to the three Dutch species is presented. | Pachyrhinus lethierryi, a new species of weevil for the Dutch fauna (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) Pachyrhinus lethierryi is reported for the first time from the Netherlands. Many specimens were collected from Chamaecyparus x leylandii on several localities in the province of Zeeland. This weevil seems to be established in our country. Pachyrhinus lethierryi originates from the mediterranean area and is currently expanding its range in Europe. The succesful spread to the north is most likely faciliated by transport of its food plants to and from garden centres and nurseries rather than the effect of global warming. |
