This paper deals with the establishment and advancement of Social Farming networks in Bavaria. The scientific research of the thesis is based on literature research, the participation in network meetings and as a main point 14 guideline-based interviews. First of all the main motivations and aims of network participants will be described. Thereafter past, present and possible future steps of the three networks in Bavaria will be presented. The final discussion provides assistance, also to other networks, by presenting key success factors of the Bavarian networking activities. In the common stock free organic agricultural system the use of fur meal pellets and other livestock by-products is standard, whereas vegan-organic farmers apply only plant based manure, as they focus on biodiversity and have an intrinsic motivation to distance from livestock farming. Since vegan-organic agriculture is still a niche within the organic agricultural movement there is a lack of any formal organizational structures in the German speaking part yet. It came up the question of the demand and the possibilities of formalizing the movement. Furthermore, six semi-structured interviews with experts in vegan-organic and organic farming of the German speaking area provide an overview of different possibilities of formalisation, respective advantages... How can Social Farming support unaccompanied minor refugees? Expert interviews with stakeholders from agricultural and refugee relief backgrounds have been carried out to elaborate conceptual baselines. The study shows that Social Farming has a high potential to support unaccompanied minor refugees. Existing concepts of farms integrating young people have to be adapted to fit the demands of young refugees. Models of qualification and traineeship have to be implemented as well as therapeutic work. Also the personal resilience of adolescents with foreign cultural backgrounds and their experience of war and violence have to be taken into account. Mecklenburg-Vorpommern bestimmt mit einem Anteil von etwa 9 % Ökolandbau an der landwirtschaftlichen Fläche das Schrittmaß im ökologischen Landbau in Deutschland. Daran haben die kontinuierliche Unterstützung der Öko-Betriebe und die stetige Verbesserung der Rahmenbedingungen durch die Politik der Landesregierung einen entscheidenden Anteil. Es bedarf jedoch weiterer Anstrengungen für eine nachhaltige Entwicklung einer konkurrenzfähigen und marktgerechten Erzeugung im ökologischen Landbau.
