Dinámica de la regeneración de Fagus grandifolia ehrh, subsp,. Mexicana (Martínez) E. Murray en la Mojonera Zacualtipán, Hidalgo Colegio de Postgraduados

Esta investigación es una contribución al conocimiento de la dinámica de la regeneración de Fagus grandifolia subsp. mexicana, especie de distribución restringida a bosques mesófilos de la Sierra Madre Oriental de México y considerada susceptible a la extinción. El trabajo se desarrolló en La Mojonera, Zacualtipán, Hidalgo, sitio donde se localiza la población de mayor extensión y mejor conservada. Se estableció una parcela de observación de 4,800 m2 dividida en cuadrantes de 10 x 10 m; en el centro de cada uno se colocaron trampas de 0.5 m2 para estimar la producción de semillas, y cuadrantes de 1 m2 para registrar la emergencia y supervivencia de plántulas. Little is known about spatial induced processes regulating population dynamics in capybara (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris), a social rodent from the lowlands of South America, an aspect that may explain the causative mechanism involved in a spatial density-dependent process like mortality and dispersal. We investigated and compared the spatial pattern of herds in a capybara population in the eastern savannas of Colombia. Herd locations were mapped during two contrasting periods of the year and changes in herd spatial distribution were measured using scale-dependent point pattern analyses, pair correlation function g(r) and the normalize K-function, (L(r)). ABSTRACT : Trees can modify the weed seed bank composition and distribution in the cropped area of an agroforestry system. This study aimed at analyzing the eucalyptus (Eucalyptus dunnii) effect on spatial distribution, functional traits abundance and weed seed bank botanic composition in an agroforestry system under no-tillage in Subtropical Brazil. The experiment was conducted in a randomized block design with five replications, and five positions between 4.5-year-old eucalyptus double rows [(4x3) x 20 m] as treatments.
