BACKGROUND: The Eurasian grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) is the most widely cultivated and economically important horticultural crop in the world. As a one of the origin area, Anatolia played an important role in the diversification and spread of the cultivated form V. vinifera ssp. vinifera cultivars and also the wild form V. vinifera ssp. sylvestris ecotypes. Stability of furosemide and aminophylline in parenteral solutions BJPS

Parenteral solutions (PS) are one of the most commonly used drug delivery vehicles. Interactions among the drug, components in the drug's formulation, and the PS can result in the formation of inactive complexes that limit efficacy or increase side effects. The aim of this work was to evaluate possible interactions between the drugs and PS, assess drug stability and to identify degradation products after 20 h at room temperature. Furosemide (FSM) and Aminophylline (APN) were added to PS containing either 20% mannitol or 0.9% NaCl at pH 6.5-7.5 and 10-11. Extraction of &#947-oryzanol from rice bran Ciência e Agrotecnologia

γ-oryzanol, a phytochemical, has antioxidant activities and potential health benefits. In this study, we aimed to develop a method for extracting high amounts of γ-oryzanol from rice bran and for verifying its stability in different solvents. Of the 5 methods under investigation, the one that yielded the highest γ-oryzanol content was further improved by using a central composite rotational design (DCCR - 2(4), including 8 tests in axial conditions and 4 central points, totaling 28 trials). The parameters under study were temperature, time, volume, and the ratio of hexane:isopropanol. The objective of this experiment was to study yolk pigmentation stability in omega 3 (ω-3) enriched eggs stored under different temperatures in zeaxanthin equivalent (by using visible light spectrophotometer) and visual score (with values obtained by yolk color fan) and to verify the correlation among those methodologies. Three hundred big eggs from Isa Brown hens were distributed into two lots each one containing 150 eggs, stored at room temperature (26.5ºC) or under refrigeration (7.9ºC) for 35 days. It was used a completely randomized design in a 2 × 6 factorial arrangement (storage temperature × storage period).
