Effects of 2,4-D Herbicide on Species of the Digitaria Genus Planta Daninha
GAZOLA,T.; DIAS,M.F.; DIAS,R.C.; CARBONARI,C.A.; VELINI,E.D..
ABSTRACT: The objective of this work was to evaluate the effects of the 2,4-D herbicide on the growth and development of Digitaria insularis and Digitaria horizontalis plants under different climatic conditions. Two greenhouse experiments were conducted in a completely randomized design, with 11 treatments (rates of the herbicide) and four replications. Rate-response curves were determined for the 2,4-D rates of 0, 50.37, 100.75, 201.5, 403, 806, 1,612, 3,224, 6,448, 12,896, and 25,792 g a.i. ha-1. The plants presented growth stimulus with low rates of 2,4-D in the autumn-winter period, but this stimulus was not found in the spring-summer period. The plants subjected to application of high rates of 2,4-D had significantly lower growth and development than...

Anatomical Changes on the Stem and Leaves of Solanum lycopersicum Caused by Different Concentrations of Picloram + 2,4-D, in Two Different Types of Soil Planta Daninha
BATISTÃO,A.C.; YAMASHITA,O.M.; SILVA,I.V.; ARAÚJO,C.F.; LAVEZO,A..
ABSTRACT: Contamination by herbicides with a prolonged effect on the soil can cause anatomical changes in sensitive plants. Thus, this study aimed at verifying the anatomical changes of tomato stem and leaves caused by different concentrations of picloram in two classes of soil from the Amazon region. The study was developed at UNEMAT, Alta Floresta - Mato Grosso state, in a CRD, in a 2 x 5 factorial arrangement, with four replications. A clayey Rhodic Hapludox (LVAw) and a sandy clay loam Typic Ustipsamments (RQo) were contaminated with 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 L ha-1 of Tordon®, leaving the soil exposed to weathering. One-hundred and twenty days after the application of the herbicide, 10 tomato seeds were sown in samples of both soils. Thirty days after sowing,...

Drift of 2,4-D and dicamba applied to soybean at vegetative and reproductive growth stage Ciência Rural
Silva,Diecson Ruy Orsolin da; Silva,Edson Dalla Nora da; Aguiar,Adalin Cezar Moraes de; Novello,Bruna Dal’Pizol; Silva,Álvaro André Alba da; Basso,Claudir José.
ABSTRACT: The introduction of dicamba and 2,4-D-resistant soybean will increase the use of auxin herbicides for management of herbicide-resistant weeds, increasing risk of drift in non-target crops. The field experiment was conducted in 2016/17 to evaluate injury, growth, yield, germination and seeds vigor of soybean effects to simulated drift of 2,4-D and dicamba applied to soybean at the V3 and R2 growth stages. To simulate drift, 2,4-D was applied at 0; 5.16; 10.4; 20.8 e 41.5g ae ha-1 and dicamba at: 0; 3.7; 7.4; 14.9 e 29.8g ae ha-1. The injury of the dicamba is greater than 2,4-D, and the V5 stage is more susceptible to both herbicides. The greatest reductions in soybean yield follow the drift of dicamba in R2 and 2,4-D in V5. The physiological...
